S 1.1 Improving student outcomes in mathematics by extending learning and/or increasing opportunities.
The district will increase student outcomes in mathematics by continuing to partner with a third party vendor, Village Virtual, which provides students with as many opportunities as possible in an asynchronous environment. These opportunities are limited as students are not located on campus. All teachers of Village Virtual are TN certified teachers and embed remedial course work in their respective classes. If and when a student needs assistance, teachers are avaialble for a virtual meeting or call.
Benchmark Indicator
This will be evaluated each year by teacher surveys and student participation.
A 1.1.1 Increase the number of student extended learning opportunites
The district will continue to partner with its vendor to ensure that all students have access to the extended learning opportunities. Continual conversations will take place with the vendor with the purpose of brainstorming additional opportunities.
