S 1.2 Synchronous Support
Since our students work in a largely asynchronous environment, our school has begun several synchronous opportunities for support. Some of these are virtual intervention meetings (VIMs), in-person test prep (V.I.P.E.R. Nights), and math tutoring. Our Student Support Services team also hosts virtual study sessions throughout the day for students with disabilities. These events present the opportunity for our math team to teach in-person and address areas of deficit in understanding of the material.

In this meeting, staff discusses the reason why they are failing and make a plan to address the problem. If a student is having difficulties in math, they are required to visit the math tutor to obtain help.
